Presidentja e Kosovës, Vjosa Osmani, po qëndron në Turqi, ku mori pjesë gjatë ditës së djeshme në Forumin Diplomatik në Antalia.

Në margjina të këtij forumi, Osmani është pritur në një takim edhe nga president turk, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Siç njofton presidenca turke, dyshja kanë biseduar për një sërë çështjesh, “përfshirë sulmet e fundit të Izraelit në Gaza dhe marrëdhëniet bilaterale mes” Turqisë dhe Kosovës.

Sipas një deklarate nga presidenca turke, të dy presidentët folën për luftën e vazhdueshme kundër terrorizmit.

Presidenti Erdogan theksoi “progresin në marrëdhëniet mes Turqisë dhe Kosovës, duke theksuar rëndësinë e luftimit të strukturës së FETO-s në Kosovë”.

“Përveç kësaj, Turqia ka qenë e përfshirë në mënyrë aktive në Kosovë përmes pjesëmarrjes së saj në misionin paqeruajtës të udhëhequr nga NATO, Forca e Kosovës (KFOR). Forcat turke kanë luajtur një rol të rëndësishëm në ruajtjen e paqes dhe stabilitetit në rajon, duke mbështetur përpjekjet e Kosovës drejt sigurisë dhe zhvillimit”, citohet të ketë thënë Erdogani.

Presidenti turk, në këtë takim theksoi edhe nevojën urgjente për t’i dhënë fund konfliktit në Gaza, “për të përmirësuar situatën humanitare përmes rritjes së ndihmës” dhe bëri thirrje për veprim të fortë ndërkombëtar.

Një njësi e re e forcave turke mbërriti në Kosovë këtë javë për të zëvendësuar forcat italiane.

FETO është shkurtesa për “Organizata Terroriste Fethullahiste”, term ky i përdorur nga qeveria e Turqisë për t’iu referuar lëvizjes islamike të udhëhequr nga kleriku Fethullah Gylen. /Klankosova.tv
